You must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program to earn and redeem Qantas Frequent Flyer points. Membership and points are subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program which can be found at qantas.com/frequentflyer. A joining fee applies. Qantas Frequent Flyer points are earned on eligible purchases only.

An additional Qantas Frequent Flyer point per dollar is earned if the specified products and services are purchased using your Frequent Flyer Diners Club Card directly from Qantas in Australia (i.e. where Qantas, and not its agent, is identified as the merchant on the card transaction). A charge card is different to credit and debit cards, in that there is no pre-set spending limit, and there's no interest, as you pay your account balance in full with each statement. A Diners Club charge card allows you to manage your expenses and earn rich reward points, and gives you access to a wide range of features and benefits.
Unlike a credit card, you can spend as much as you need, when you need to, making it the ultimate convenience in credit banking and a true reward for maintaining a superior credit rating.
Yes. With the addition of a Diners Club Frequent Flyer Mastercard, you can earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points as a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.

Important Changes
From 15 June 2017, the following changes will apply to all Diners Club Personal Card cardholders:
- Government related transactions will no longer be eligible to earn Reward Points. As such, the definition of 'Eligible Transaction' is amended to mean:
- in the case of a Card Account (and subject to the exclusions in parts (b) and (c) below)
- any purchase transaction made by the use of a Card and/or the Account;
- any cash advance;
- other transaction types Diners Club notifies you of from time to time; or
- in the case of a Diners Club Branded Product any transaction type Diners Club notifies you of from time to time (and subject to the exclusions in part (c) below);
- but in all cases excluding debits to an Account to pay:
- annual, joining and other Account fees;
- liquidated damages;
- late payment charges;
- the Rewards Membership Fee;
- other amounts nominated by Diners Club from time to time; and
- taxes (including any GST) payable in connection with any of the above amounts in this paragraph (c).
- government related transactions (other than any GST included in an Eligible Transaction). Government related transactions include transactions with government or semi-government entities, or relating to services provided by or in connection with government (for example but not limited to transactions made at Australia Post, payments to the Australian Taxation Office, council rates, motor registries, tolls, parking stations and meters, fares on public transport, fines and court related costs).
Please note that whether or not a transaction is an Eligible Transaction will be determined based on information provided either by the merchant or the relevant financial institution (including information about the type of business conducted by the merchant). This means that, for example, spend with certain merchants may be characterised as spend with a government related entity and therefore not an Eligible Transaction, even if that merchant is not in fact a government related entity.
- in the case of a Card Account (and subject to the exclusions in parts (b) and (c) below)
For cardholders with a Diners Club Personal Card and companion World Mastercard® Card, the following additional changes will also apply:
- The annual fee for the main card for the Diners Club Branded and World Mastercard Card will decrease from $389 to $299
- The annual fee for the additional card for the Diners Club Branded and World Mastercard Card will decrease from $69 to $50
- The points earn on:
- Diners Club Branded Card for spend on Eligible Transactions will decrease from 3 Reward Points per Australian dollar to 2 Reward Points per Australian dollar
- World Mastercard® Card for spend on Eligible Transactions will decrease from 1.25 Reward Points per Australian dollar to 0.75 Reward Points per Australian dollar

- World Mastercard® Card for spend on Eligible Transactions will decrease from 1 Frequent Flyer Diners Club Point per Australian dollar to 0.5 Frequent Flyer Diners Club Points per Australian dollar
